Waistcoat Making Workshop
With ‘Great British Sewing Bee’ Series 6 quarter finalist Mark Francis
Mark will guide you through how to cut and sew your button up waistcoat from one of his amazing Mark Francis patterns.
He will advise you from start to finish with a fabric front and a lining to match the fabulous satin back, make this either for yourself or as a gift for someone.
I'm sure Mark will also have some great stories from his appearance on BBC's 'Great British Sewing Bee'
Mark has a wealth of experience in teaching, having previously taught Piano and music theory, and since leaving the GBSB he has brought his sewing and creative skills to the class room too.
You can regularly find Mark teaching at the Knitting and Stitching/Sewing for Pleasure/Creative Craft shows across the country as well as workshops held in well known haberdashery and sewing centres too.
Requirements:
1 metre of fabric for the front
2 metres of fabric for the back and lining
Half a metre of medium weight iron on interfacing
Buttons to finish
A simple sewing kit
Don't forget to bring the measurements of who will be wearing the waistcoat
